President Hillary's first night in office

Hillary Clinton gets elected President and is spending her first night in the White House. She is lying in bed when the ghost of George Washington appears, and Hillary asks, "How can I best serve my country?"

Washington responds, "Never tell a lie."

"Ouch!" says Hillary, "I don't know about that."

The next night, the ghost of Thomas Jefferson appears. Hillary asks, "How can I best serve my country?"

Jefferson says, "Listen to the people."

"Ohhh!" says Hillary. "I really don't want to do that."

On the third night, the ghost of Abe Lincoln appears and Hillary asks, "How can I best serve my country?"

Lincoln answers, "Go to the theater."

The Cookie Crumbles

Oh well, turns out "Cookiegate" is also much ado about nothing...the cookies on the NSA website were a result of the default setting on some new software, and just plain ol' "revisit" cookies, not hi-tech nefarious Dr. Strangerove internet activity tracking cookies. And not illegal, just in violation of a guideline signed by President Bush in 2003 to require government sites to use cookies that expire when the visit ends. (What, the evil spying Bushitlerchimp actually restricted the use of cookies by government websites? How can that be?)

Some folks must be very disappointed. But those folks should take comfort in knowing that, unlike the NSA, which switched to "quick death" cookies as soon as the mistake was found, there are some websites out there that place exactly the same kind of cookies removed by the NSA on their visitors' computers:

Here we are at Blogger

I've been posting at Blogster for several months. It was a nice platform, and the politics section had quite a community of active readers and commenters. Then the ownership changed, the platform's format changed, and I'm just not happy with it anymore. Everything is broken up by "channels" (topics) and your blog only shows one page at a time. It's more like you have some pages in a big book, rather than a blog of your own. So, for now, I'll give Blogger a try. I understand it's improved quite a bit, your posts no longer routinely disappear, and commenting is better.

I'll probably be importing posts from the Blogster location to this spot.

In the meantime, I'm also kind of looking at Motime. Anybody got any insight on that platform? Or know of another really good one? I hear Blogsome has real Wordpress blogs for free, but you're strictly limited in how much customization you can do. Any insights would be appreciated.
